Moe and Mel: Too Many Mouths to Feed
"Moe and Mel is the story of two old friends coping with economic difficulties, illness and a lack of social relevance in a youth oriented society. Through friendship, old movie marathons and a lot of TV dinners, somehow they endure.
This film is based on original characters created by
Molly Brandenburg during the 80s, when a close
friend was dying if AIDS. Many years later, Molly's
daughter, animation student and artist Emma
Benson, encouraged her to revive the characters
during the pandemic shutdown. Working on this film
was a labor of love, a way of healing and surviving,
and a tribute to an old friend who left too soon."
