"Premiering in the Oscar qualifying competition at the 31st Galway Film Fleadh, Girl Alone is a dark thriller with a killer twist, a complex message and a contemporary #MeToo era relevance. Set, and entirely shot, in Greater Manchester it's the very first screenplay by a brand new female writer, and features a brilliant young female actor as the eponymous Girl. The main male character is played by a comedian taking his first steps into serious drama, and the producers are also new to short film.
