LET YOUR FILM DO THE TALKING

Remembrance

Paul London

Remembrance

Film synopsis

Much like a roll of 8mm film, our childhood memories fade as time goes on. However, the essence of these memories stay with us forever, in our dreams and in our hearts. “Remembrance” takes us to Derbyshire, giving a glimpse into family life through imagery that calls to mind days of youth and togetherness. With simpler times come complex emotions as glimpses of tender moments between family give the relatable experience of each of our youths, whether one is from the rural hills or the urban streets. The imagery of Director Paul London’s childhood is captured by his very own parents in home movies; the beautiful fields of wheat, the family pets, days at the beach, all miniature movies in their own right, for each brings a memory to the forefront of the little screen in our minds. Accented by his brother, Simeon Bowring’s musical score, this family project delves into the recesses of our brains, taking us all to our own personal moments of remembrance. So please take a journey through your own memories as you take in that of our directors, and please enjoy, “Remembrance”.
